Grose Valley and the Three Sisters

Tracking west following the Grose River and into the beautiful Grose Valley with its sandstone cliffs, we climb over the town of Medlow Bath before reaching the amazing site of the Three Sisters. We then follow the highway back over the smalll towns of Lawson, Faulconbridge and Springwood before joining the Nepean River with views of the Penrith Lakes and its Olympic rowing course.

Tracking south down the Nepean river past the Penrith Lakes and its Olympic rowing course, for a photographic opportunity at Warragamba Dam. We track north west on cllimb through the awesome Jamison Valley with its sandstone cliffs to the famous Thee Sisters. We continue north before flying back over the sensational Grose Valley and back down the Grose River.

"Last year I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to fill a spare seat in one of the light planes competing in the Royal Flying Doctor Air Race from Broome to Airlie Beach. It was during this time that I got to meet John and Jeanette Starr, and I was impressed by their ability to match their more fancied winged competitors in the air, and also by the fact that the two of them could raise more than double the fundraising money our crew of four had achieved. A December wedding in Sydney, and Heliblue’s Scenic Harbour flights provided the perfect solution for my family’s Christmas gift selection. With perfect morning weather, and Jeanette’s ability to slot in flights to suit our tight travel schedule, everyone got to enjoy a Sunday morning over Sydney, before heading home. The highlight of my trip, apart from the spectacular view of Sydney Harbour and the bridge, was having a Boeing 747 fly directly over our heads as it made its landing approach to Sydney Airport.  I plan to make use of her scenic Blue Mountains trip the next time I visit Sydney."
